Cisco Networking Academy Expert Level Instructor Award

Dr hab. Mariusz Piwiński, prof. UMK, has been rewarded the Cisco Networking Academy Expert Level Instructor Award for the sixth time. This prize is awarded annually to approximately 10 percent of the best Cisco Network Academy instructors in the world.

Congratulations!

The Cisco Network Academy has been operating at our Faculty for 19 years, training students in the field of computer networks. The offered Cisco CCNA course leads to the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. The course discusses issues related to terminology and network protocols, local area networks (LANs), wide area network (WAN), the OSI (Open System Interconnection) model, wiring, Ethernet technology, IP addressing and standards used in computer networks. At the next stages of education, participants are introduced to issues concerning the advanced configuration of routers, routing protocols, configuration Ethernet switches, VLAN and WAN technologies. During the classes, students curry out a series of laboratory exercises using both real equipment and interactive tools. Participants who prove their knowledge as a result of exams (practical, theoretical and on-line) obtain the Cisco Network Academy certificate confirming the completion of the course.
